Balance

Sat Jul 4, 2009, 10:15 AM
Who is becoming well balanced? I am!

I don't know what I owe it too. It's most likely from Grant Morrison/Alan Moore/THC for expanding my mind.

Could also be because I cut off someone cold turkey...again.

Regardless, good times to be had all around.

Do what thou wilt.

I am a story scribe.

I seem to be designed to act as a sort of organic, or human linked, repository for all forms of story. The forms manly exist as:
1. Composed (novel, short story, raw idea)
2. Visual (painting, sketching, drama, act of)
3. Oral (music, spoken words, sounds)

All form of story presents itself in each form. The story in a song or sound, the story in a piece of art or action, and the pure value for raw ideas are in part a story.

Throughout our lives we are under a constant search for the story, and fill our days as a borderline addict searching for one. When the environment lacks any form of external story, we use powers of internal story.

All of the stories collected end up being stored as itself, and also amalgamated into a larger story that composes who a person is.

It becomes easy to see then how we use internal stories to stay alive in dire situations.

The older and wiser the story scribe become, he is able to see connections and hidden workings behind stories. It is also said that some reach such a great skill, that they begin to navigate internal and external stories at the same time.

This need for stories is most likely a larger cause. Or a larger story.

Upon our death maybe our collective library will become the bases for the next story of life.

I just noticed that you like Kuksi. My friend is obsessed with his stuff and she planned a big gathering to one of his shows. I can't remember why I couldn't make it but, I hear his sculptures in real life are outstanding.

I'm not totally sure why I feel so connected to your work. I'm into spiritual-based artwork...and I guess your work combines the spirit side and a technical side. It kind of reminds me of maybe something that Geof Darrow or Juan Jose Ryp would do (in terms of detail with lines) but with a spiritual spin.

Most of the time I find that the ideas behind the spirit induce a hazy image. The more detailed and technical a piece gets, the more it looks like a machine rather then a spirit. But I find your work really walks the line between the two. Almost a "machine of the gods" kind of thing.

A guitar is like a woman. She is what she is and nothing can change that. Each one has her own personality. Yeah...I want another one.

Because I could do for a little cold,
